The War
It's progressing in a downward spiral. It becomes more violent each day and more lives are lost than that of the last day. This war will most likely result in mass extinction. The hatred they feel for one another is fueled endlessly by the fighting... Diplomacy is far beyond the reach of salvation now. I might be tempted to engage in the war myself... and hope I can make a change for the better.

Oh? Skye... I do not think it would be wise.
ReplyDeleteAh, sweet Seraphina, do not fret. As I have said, I am able to handle creatures such as demons and the like. As a god, I feel obligated to keep the peace.
ReplyDeleteI.. know very well that you are capable but. . . involving yourself in such matters may prove difficult. Whom would you offer your support? Surely you do not hope to fight on your own side? Taking on two armies?
ReplyDelete... I'm afraid that is the only path left to me. I cannot favor a single side. If I must, I will resolve this on my own.

ReplyDeleteI worry not for my own safety Skye. As a warrior angel I understand the risks in a war. It's just. . . I have seen many of mine brethren fall during a war such as this. I would not take it well if disaster fell upon you.

ReplyDeleteNonsense Skye, my work here is done. Honestly. . . I do not know why I continue to stay here. Perhaps its an instinct, I know not. You needn't think such thoughts. I have fought countless battles before.

ReplyDeleteOh, clever. It does not sway me charming Skye. Either I fight by your side, or, I remain here and fight alone. Either way I will partake in this war, it is my duty to help restore peace. Though, I perhaps shall chose a side. Demons are the enemy, thus i shall lend my assistance to those who fight against them.
ReplyDeleteI understand. Though, if I may... demons may be the enemy, but they are the darkness to the light on this balanced scale. I would not encourage hatred... but it is your decision, and I only hope you do not fall as your brethren have before you, my angel.
ReplyDeleteI do not hate them Skye. That would be a sin, no, i have merely seen what they are capable of. What they have done to this world. They have caused an imbalance by coming to this earth personally and participating in the war. I know what they wish to do... and whom they wish to use to obtain their goal.
ReplyDeleteThen is it impertinent they do not accomplish they're goal... but the bloodshed must cease. I will banish the demons back to their home of origin, I will attempt to dampen the ire of the Earth dwellers... an eye for an eye will not bring peace to these lands. These two sides must be made aware of that, and I will ensure that they do not commit such horrible acts again... whatever it takes.
ReplyDeleteDear Skye, somethings are out of your dominion. Demons cannot be banished back to hell. . . It is in the scriptures. They have boundaries, yes, but they are free willed. They may not have direct influence like they are doing so now, but Lucifer knows this. He has special demons working amongst the chaos, those who follow said laws, or find loop holes. They are the demons I worry about.

Please, do not mistake my words for doubt in your abilities it is just. . . were they to get their hands on you Skye they would not hesitate in using your power. Its best not to risk it.
